Water is life!

Being a part of the team from the very beginning and participating in multiple trips has brought an indelible experience, influence, memories and deep understanding of correlation between giving, helping and happiness. I was amazed by how such a "plain thing" as clean water can effect so many people and change their lives forever. We are so used to lots of "extras" in our daily lives we do not see further, beyond and that for many people these obvious daily advantages we have are something worth of gold and literally an extra. The influence of having access to a clean drinking water is tremendous and I had the chance to feel it on my own skin. If only I could put down in words the happiness I saw in those people's eyes after realizing they have an access to the clean water now. They will not have to walk many km every day back and forth just to provide their households to function, not even talking about human body functions and prevention of diseases. They will now have the chance to use this time more productive, including for education and work aka improving their lives. Kids are keen to learn, educate themselves, but they can't due to being ill because of polluted water or the need

to help their parents to collect the water instead of sitting in the school chair or simply playing and enjoying their childhood.

I was happy to catch these moments and tell the story through my photographs. Not just it had an enormous influence on me personally, but also to my family members, friends, friends of friends and even random people. They got truly engaged to know more about the work Global H2o does and how they can help in any way- by fundraising, donating or spreading the word further. It made them think more of those "simple things" and real values of life. And since then, it has been a pleasure for my heart and soul to see the development and that more and more people start to "think". In giving is happiness. And, the undeniable fact- "Water is life!"
